Life changes, setbacks, and significant upheavals beyond one's control, such as accidents, unemployment, divorce, bereavement, severe injury, sexual assault, or life-threatening situations, can be profoundly impactful in one’s life. Each of us possess a unique resilience, influencing our capacity to navigate stress and cope with trauma, (both big T and little t). Often, even after the traumatic event has passed, we may find our minds and bodies "stuck," struggling to fully process emotions and memories, hindering our ability to derive meaning from the experience and move forward. Consequently, this impedes cognitive clarity, emotional stability, productivity in work or school, relational security, sleep patterns, and the ability to experience joy. In essence, life may no longer feel the same after such experiences. Therapy grounded in trauma-focused approaches can facilitate the processing of these experiences and foster healing.

I offer a warm and empathetic approach grounded in evidence-based techniques. Together we'll explore your unique strengths and challenges, fostering growth and resilience along the way whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or personal development. I'm here alongside you in your journey toward healing and self discovery.

I am a counseling intern and work under the clinical supervision of Colin Lindborg (Washington / LF60599604).

Who I work with: Couples (affirming care for non-monogamous relationships), LGBTQIA2S+, adult ADHD coping, divorce, individuals (13+), athletes, peripartum and perimenopausal support.

Telehealth and in-person sessions available in downtown Bellingham, WA.

In relationship with participants, my approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and I draw on somatic and mindfulness-based interventions. This means that you can expect a non-judgemental environment to increase your understanding of self with the belief that each person has their own force for therapeutic change within themselves.

I utilize the frameworks of social justice, intersectionality, and preemptive radical inclusion. I operate with a transfeminist and queer theory lens and work towards a sex and gender expansive world.

Fee for 50 min session: $120 (ask about sliding scale)

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a psychotherapy approach used to help individuals process distressing memories and traumatic experiences. This therapy involves bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye movements or tapping, while the individual recalls the traumatic event. The goal is to help the brain reprocess these memories, reducing their emotional intensity and enabling the individual to develop more adaptive coping mechanisms. EMDR has been found effective in treating various conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related suffering.
